Pros

The hotel is situated in 2 hectares of gardens, providing a peaceful rural setting.

Free parking and free Wi-Fi are included for all guests.

The Nepalese restaurant on-site offers a distinct dining experience.

The hotel features a shared lounge/TV area and outdoor picnic space.

Cons

The scrambled eggs at breakfast were reported as poor quality on at least one occasion.

The hotel's older decor, including the carpets, may show some wear in common areas.

“The imposing Victorian architecture and spacious, characterful rooms certainly make an impression, offering a sense of grandeur and comfort that feels genuine. I was particularly struck by how the staff, notably Alison, consistently went above and beyond, ensuring everything from a special occasion to a simple breakfast felt seamless and exceptionally well-cared for. The setting itself provides a peaceful backdrop, with beautiful grounds that add to the property's inherent appeal and value.”
